[Kingston/Montreal] Before Trip

Another term that I enjoyed, another term that I did my best. Enjoying all my coursework, enjoying all the challenges. Looking forward to the next term, the happiness in my mind is ineffable. I am approaching the end of my undergraduate degree, but the beginning of my life into the real society. Whether I am able to continue into graduate studies or not, the professional degree at University of Waterloo has certainly marked a significant milestone in my life.

Of course, this blog is not about all the sentiments I feel at this moment; I only mentioned my feeling because I am in the period where I do not know whether to feel happy or sad. So why not leave these complicated questions until later and take a rest for now, especially when my family is coming over to Waterloo and share the joy?

We set our destination to eastern Kingston and Montreal this time. It will be a short 3-day trip, but it is better than not going anywhere at all, especially when my family is coming over to visit me (yes, I am really happy that they are coming =P).

Why these places? Well, my plan originally included Ottawa as well, but their time is limited because they have work to take care of back in Taiwan. We decided to trim the length down by excluding Ottawa because there are many things to do and see in Canada's capital, and we could not possibly try even all of them in just 1 day.

We set our destination to Montreal, but we decided that since we are taking VIA Rail (a cross-Canada train company), it might be nice to stop by a city in the middle of two. We chose Kingston because we have heard beautiful things about the city, and it should be nice tour a city that hosts one of Canada's best commerce schools - Queen's University.

How about Montreal? Well, because I have been there, and I absolutely loved the city. It's just, I wanted to go there again and experience it in summer (I still shiver when thinking about the minus-twenty-something degrees Celsius temperature...).

The trip will begin on August 12. I am feeling my excitement overflowing my brain as I type, so I have to leave and calm my head down. I will see you few days later!
